High-tech solutions firm in midtown NYC is seeking an experienced NOC support engineer to join the support services team. This individual must be comfortable working in a fast paced, busy environment which provides 24x7 operational support, helpdesk services, and on-site support. Primary responsibilities include: Provide ongoing maintenance and support to current clients; Updating internal knowledge base; Fault management and event notification; Escalation to senior engineers; and Assist in provisioning of new clients. Requirements include: 2-5 years related experience working with helpdesk software including the development of matrices, escalation procedures, monitoring software and troubleshooting methodologies; Good working knowledge of routers, switches, firewalls, and databases; MCSE, CCNA, and/or A+ certifications desired; Bachelors degree in computer sciences or related field required; Ability to work nights and weekends with minimum supervision; Strong communication skills to interact with all levels of technical and managerial staff and clients; and Solid technical writing skills for documentation purposes.
