Client is looking for an experienced technical architect to help us design and develop the next generation of our product as we move towards a scalable, open, service-oriented architecture.
The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of modern multi-tier architectures, including SOA, and the issues involved in developing complex trading systems. We are looking for someone who has a passion for technology and can propose creative solutions to complex issues. The candidate should have the ability to communicate with people at all levels of the organization as well as with prospects and existing clients. <p>
Responsibilities<br>
• Work closely with Product Management, the Director of Architecture, and senior development staff to define and implement the technology roadmap.<br>
• Contribute to the redesign of the application architecture<br>
• Evaluate relevant new technologies for possible integration into the application framework.<br>
• Participate in design, development and testing of new applications or enhancements to existing applications in the framework. <br>
o Create technical specifications<br>
o Develop applications in C++, C# and/or Java<br>
o Participate in unit testing, code reviews, and creation of QA test plans<br>
o Participate in problem solving and maintenance of existing applications<br>
• Provide advice and support to project team members, business centers and other application teams in areas of expertise. <br>
• Responsible for the timely completion and delivery of projects.<p>

Experience: o Strong object oriented design and analytical skills <br>
o In depth knowledge of one or more of C++, C# or Java<br>
o Knowledge and experience with SOA technologies and platforms<br>
o Solid knowledge of Windows platforms and associated applications and utilities. <br>
o Knowledge of Microsoft .NET<br>
o Knowledge of one or more relational databases (Sybase, SQLServer or Oracle)<br>
o Strong communication and collaboration skills<br>
o Experience with several of the following technologies:<br>
o C++ development on UNIX especially Solaris<br>
o Microsoft Windows Forms or MFC/Windows API<br>
o XML<br>
o CORBA<br>
o Java Servlet API<br>
o Tomcat, WebLogic and/or WebSphere application servers<br>
o UML<br>
o BPEL<br>
Academic & Professional Qualifications<br>
BS or MS in Computer Science<br>
3+ years of technical architecture experience<br>
5+ years software design and development experience<p>
