Job Description:
- Candidate will be part of a team that provides high quality technology solutions by developing application components for a financial Institution.
- Responsible for developing, testing, and QA support of Weblogic Portal or other assigned application components in a delivery focused environment.
- Candidate is an integral part of the project team and needs the ability to effectively communicate with other team members both within and outside of the department.
- Will work closely with a Team Lead to report development status, identify project issues and offer workable solutions.
- Responsible for ensuring that your code is of high-quality, fully functional, readable, maintainable, and fulfills the pre-defined business requirements.
- Responsible for the design, development, and deployment of assigned Weblogic Portal / application components
- Ensure that all coding standards are met--code is readable, works, and is well-documented, maintainable, and efficient
- Ensure that all assigned development is thoroughly unit tested and follows technical design
- Understand business requirements and how assigned application components are meeting those requirements
- Raise technical issues and problems to development lead; identify solutions and work with development lead to implement them
- Support QA phase by accurately fixing defects and working with QA testers to ensure that fix is complete
- Identify efficiencies and ways to improve design and development processes
- Desire to take on additional responsibility
Experience: Skills Required: - Application development experience with Java and Weblogic Portal. - Ability to work within a delivery focused environment. - Experience with Internet based development and object-oriented methodologies - Weblogic Portal Core Java, AJAX, J2E, JSP, Spring and Struts - C# or .Net development experience - BEA Weblogic server, Oracle or SQL server experience - Webservice or SOA development experience - Knowledge of open source tools and utilities
