Job Description:
- Will design, develop, code, test, debug and document programming applications to satisfy requirements of a leading financial institution.
- Will typically provide 24-hour daily production and technical support to assigned systems.
- Also provide comprehensive consultation to business unit and IT management and staff at the highest technical level
- Will work closely with client management to identify and specify complex business requirements and processes
- Research and evaluate alternative solutions and make recommendations.
- Work closely with business and service delivery team to ensure appropriate business measures are defined.
- Create technical design recommendations for developing and integrating programs per written specifications.
- Examine applications to ensure adherence to Application Engineering guidelines, processes and procedures.
- Utilize multiple programming languages and software technologies to ensure software is suitably fit for use and admissible for maintenance/upgrades.
- Test, modify, and implement Oracle code, make standard modifications to existing software applications and modules in accordance with high-level specifications, application support and industry standards.
- Evaluate service level issues and suggested enhancements escalated by Service Delivery Team to diagnose and address underlying system problems and inefficiencies.
- Engage third party suppliers on applications support issues
Experience: Skills Required: - Oracle 10g, Unix, Database Migrations, Physical Database modeling - Application development with a focus on Oracle technologies - Star Schemas, ETL, Metadata management and reporting/dashboards - Financial Services experience - Database Development using Oracle 10g - Unix/Shell scripting (korn) - Business Analysis - Business Applications Knowledge - Business Continuity Testing Knowledge - 24/7 Customer Support and Service Delivery Model - Operations Systems and Data Sources Knowledge - Technical Problem Resolution - SQL and PL/SQL - Oracle RAC - Database Migrations
