The Application Technical Lead is responsible for driving, building and maintaining relationships with IT Management, Business Leads, user interface team; liaison between business and Systems group. Responsibilities include insuring the completeness of all the deliverables for the detail design phase, i.e. use cases, business activities, business components and user interface deliverables. Ability to provide technical direction for mid to large scale projects.

* Strong working knowledge of requirements process and deliverables
* Strong working knowledge of change control processes
* Ability to see a technical project through from inception through implementation to the end
* Quality management: ability to use knowledge of the industry to facilitate and document business requirements; staying current with business and technology trends
* Technical tools: Rational Rose; UML; SQL; Java; J2EE; C/C++
* Strong oral/written communication skills
* Ability to demonstrate drive, initiative, integrity and mentoring

* Ability to demonstrate customer service skills; providing flexibility in handling both internal and external customer related issues

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
* A Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline
* 5-8 years experience in software development, installation and modification in a distributed environment
* Experience with UML structured design, development, and implementation of new computing architectures
* Previous experience in a cross-functional team environment highly desirable
* Experience in pensions or related financial business a plus
