We have openings for a senior Business Objects consultant to support an international financial services industry client in NYC. Client is motivated to start someone this month.
Candidates for this senior position must possess strong methodology and analytical skills to "see the big picture" of the project but with hands-on experience with Business Objects to jump in and help when necessary.
Responsibilities include:
. Compose and deliver monthly project portfolio reports to Business COOs and IT Product Lines
. Provide process and system support and instructions to LBM's and PMO's to ensure efficient and accurate operations around project portfolio management across IB IT.
. Assume technical ownership of the DataMart (currently in SQL Server with ETL via stored procedures)
. Ensure data integrity in DataMart and reports
. Maintain set of SQL Server stored procedures used for ETL, including submission and control of all change managements.
. Manage all canned reports (created in Business Objects) and universe
. Extract, compile and deliver ad-hoc management reports to IB IT community as well as front office integrating project forecast estimates, accounting and cost allocation data.
. Manage implementation and delivery of enhancements to current project portfolio management toolset
Experience: Education and Professional Qualifications
. Bachelors Degree required, MBA / Masters in Information Technology is desirable
Work Experience
. 7+ years experience in Information Technology including Business Objects, SQL and Stored Procedure
. Strong analytical and problem solving skills
. Experience in data analysis and management reporting.
. Experience in IT Finance/Controlling
. Experience in cost allocation
. Experience in IT Project/Portfolio Management
. Knowledge of project accounting
Technical/Business Skills and Knowledge
. Advanced Business Objects report and universe development
. Advanced experience in SQL and stored procedure programming
. Advanced Microsoft Excel and Flow charting
. Experience with Application Development lifecycle
. Knowledge of different project management methodologies (PMBOK, PRINCE2)
. Lean or Six Sigma training
. Experience with PlanView
