Interactive Creative Director in NEW YORK, NY

Serves as a key member of the agency’s executive leadership team. Responsible for ensuring the creative integrity of all interactive engagements. Manages an interactive team composed of designers, art directors, and assistant/associate creative director(s). Collaborates with IA, editorial, strategy, and technology colleagues to ensure that creative direction aligns with client requirements.


• Establishes and manages overall creative direction of all projects, including interactive, print, audio and video production
• Manages creative staff and freelance creative resources
• Collaborates with sister agency creative staff to ensure creative integrity of interagency efforts
• Ensures that all jobs have approved creative brief and that creative briefs accurately reflect requirements of each job
• Delegates tasks as appropriate
• Ensures that all creative efforts are delivered on time and within budget
• Continuously improves the agency’s creative processes
• Personally validates processes before implementation and delegate process creation as needed
• Monitors and adapts to client need changes with regard to processes, schedules, specifications, and tool sets and works with other disciplines to ensure team and clients keep common goals and expectations
• Monitors interactive marketplace and introduces new interactive concepts and seeks to introduce new technologies as appropriate
• Follows up to ensure goals are met and provides direction when needed to staff
• Advocates for staff growth and development while providing clear and regular performance feedback

Experience: • Minimum 1 year of management experience in a production-oriented interactive environment
• Minimum 4 years of experience in interactive art direction
• Requires experience with client-focused team leadership and needs-assessment
• Requires ability to formulate solutions and negotiate the best solution to meet project goals
• Requires demonstrated experience in process development, client relationship management, project management
• Requires demonstrated ability to integrate diverse objectives and changing client requirements
• Experience in or knowledge of print, audio, and/or video production is desirable
• Knowledge of pharmaceutical promotion guidelines highly desired
• Requires proficiency with industry-standard creative applications including, but not limited to, Illustrator, Flash, HTML editors
• Proficiency with office productivity applications, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel highly desired
