Project/Program Manager - Server Hardware/Engineer in Garden City, NY

Genesis10 currently has an opening for a Project/Program Manager in Long Island, NY. This is a 1 year long consulting opportunity.

As Manager you will be:

- Responsible for the management of technical project(s) or program teams from initiation through implementation, includes: planning, analysis, design development and implementation.

- You will provide overall direction for establishing project requirements, priorities and deadlines.

- Will integrate project plans into Program Plans.

- Establish roles and responsibilities within the core program team.

- Allocate and coordinate resources (staff, equipment, vendors and consultants) across one or more projects.

- Manage budget for assigned project(s), develop and monitor project/program plan(s), and adjust resources and priorities accordingly.

- Align business unit, technical development and support organizations.

- Establish program communication plan across the businesses, regions, support and technology groups.

- Prepare and present progress reports for senior management.

- You will also monitor current server availability, manage installation requests and report progress to management teams as requested.

- Report into the Pre-Provisioning Product Manager
Experience: Ideal candidate to have 3-5 years experience of project/process management with enterprise class server hardware.

- The candidate must have an excellent understanding of server hardware, server components, as well as understand how these components interact with other technologies.

- Must possess a good understanding of network and storage architecture as it relates to the connectivity and impact on servers.

- Must be able to communicate well with team members and be self motivated.

- Good understanding of Server Hardware and Server Vendor Roadmaps

- Proficient in MS Office, Email, PowerPoint and Visio

- Traits of ideal candidate: accountable, proactive, resourceful, customer service focused, results driven, dedicated to continuous improvement, and highly process driven.

- Ability to be flexible, follow tight deadlines, organize and prioritize work

- Strong verbal and writing skills

- Past engineering experience and/or hardware certifications a PLUS

- Prior financial experience (preferably in banking) is required.
