Seeking a lead systems analyst to be a core member of an application support team that focuses on technical support, analysis and application change management of a Travel/Mobility system functionality for a Fortune 500 client. This analyst will work closely with members of the analyst team, including our business partners, developers, as well as members of the Travel and Mobility operations groups. Overall responsibilities are to write business and technical requirements for new application changes or projects, and perform testing efforts. Responsibilities also include performing problem determination and root cause analysis in providing ongoing day-to-day support of the applications
Primary Responsibilities
This is a position requires someone who has excellent leadership, analytical, problem-solving, design, and communication skills. Specific responsibilities include:
. Ensure that business objectives, project scope, and requirements are clearly understood by the development team as the Technical leader of the team
. Analyze the causes and effects of business problems, evaluate options and propose solutions
. Translate business requirements into functional specifications for developers and develop/execute comprehensive function testing on any application changes.
. Work with cross-functional teams to develop applications
. Manage multiple priorities associated with multiple, concurrent application changes and/or projects
. Analyze production issues when they occur and be able to determine root causes and propose resolutions
. Provide subject matter expertise on payroll and/or time & attendance applications to business and systems associates
. Potential for nightly on-call support of payroll and/or time & attendance applications (24 x 7 support)
Experience: Qualifications
Education and Experience
Three to five years experience as a business / systems analyst, with a focus in financial services applications (Prefer past history specific to team leadership in an IT area)
Bachelors degree in Computer Science/MIS or equivalent experience
Skills and Knowledge
