BASIC FUNCTION:
As part of M&T's Technology Infrastructure division, candidate would be responsible for supporting the production Quality Assurance tool/process to ensure production readiness prior to distributed applications migrating to the Bank's production environment. Provides technical coding support for the setup, execution and review of test output for applications passing through the performance/stress test process. Works closely with the Network Computing Systems Analyst/Test lab manager to schedule, coordinate and process performance/stress test for distributed applications. Ensures quality assurances process defined and adhered to by applications entering the Bank's production environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Codes performance test scripts and executes testing of applications for functionality, regression and stress/performance testing.
Assists with the creation of test plans and provides expertise in analysis of test results.
Effectively communicates performance test findings and reviews with management/client for areas of concern.
Manages test related issues and assist in the expedient resolution.
Responsible for identifying, tracking, reporting, escalating and resolving any issues identified with the performance test and/or performance test software.
Proven project management experiences a plus.
Self-motivated individual with a positive attitude and proven track record.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
BS degree or equivalent with 4-5 years IT work experience
High technical aptitude with broad range of LAN/WAN experience including Microsoft and Cisco distributed and host-based infrastructure technologies.
Proven track record dealing with a variety of technologies with the ability to adapt to new situations quickly
Proven written and verbal communication skills.
Writing and debugging scripts in one or more scripting languages (VB Script, Java Script, AutoIt, etc.).
IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience with Quality Assurance Testing tools including Segue or Mercury desirable
Experience with performance/stress testing of web based and client server apps
Exposure to the mainframe environment a plus
