This 18 month project involves the development of entirely new features as well as providing enhancements or replacements of functionality currently residing on the mainframe-based Child Support Management System (CSMS). The system must also be continually modified and maintained to conform to changes in federal requirements for child support systems. Development plans for the next 18 months include: . The migration of approximately one-half of the on-line CSMS functions to ASSETS, including a greatly expanded update capability; . The expansion of an on-line interface with New York's family court system to include electronic filing of court petitions and a real-time inquiry capability; . The automation of the application/intake process for new child support cases, including an expanded electronic interface with other program areas; and, . The enhancement of child support workflows to reduce the time it takes to successfully perform various child support worker functions and improve data quality. The application is a web based Java application utilizing Weblogic and the Oracle 8i/9i database architecture. The individual hired will be responsible for the design, development and administration of all Oracle database environments, including Development, User Test, Pseudo, Training, and Production. The individual will also assist in resolving technical issues related to both the application and the Oracle database. Experience: Mandatory Requirements Three years experience with: . Working with Oracle with a thorough understanding of the architecture and processes of the Oracle 7 server, Oracle 8 server . The developments of large scale, complex applications involving on-line and batch environments . Installing, tuning and general performance of the Oracle product . SQL-PL/SQL, stored procedures and triggers, Oracle tools including Designer . Knowledge transfer, transition of systems and mentoring Desirable Experience Preferred . Eight years experience designing Oracle databases, including requirements definition, data modeling, and logical/physical design . Five years experience as an Oracle database administrator for a JAVA based database application, with a working knowledge of the Java programming language, the J2EE standard, JDBC database connectivity, LDAP/Siteminder, and CVS (Concurrent Versions System . Five years experience installing, configuring and using Oracle IFS . Three years experience installing, configuring and using Oracle Intermedia/Oracle Text . Two years experience installing, configuring and using Oracle XML DB . Experience in installing configuring and maintaining Intelligent Search Technology's NAMESEARCH product . Six years experience administering Oracle 8, 9i and 10g databases, including an understanding of the architectures and new features . Six years experience writing and debugging Unix Korn Shell and Pearl scripts, with a thorough knowledge of language syntax and structure . In depth knowledge of Federally regulated statewide Child Support programs, including associated business rules . Five years experience in designing, developing and maintaining Oracle database structures that support Federally regulated statewide Child Support programs .
