SAN Administrator
Provide SAN storage administration and architecture including monitoring, capacity planning and adjusting storage requirements. This role will be responsible for the implementation of all modifications and changes to the SAN infrastructure Experience in the following areas is required:
- SAN administrator with 3 to 5 years experience managing EMC Clariion storage arrays, CX600 and FC4700.
- Expert knowledge of Navisphere and associated array tools including MirrorView, SnapView, SAN Copy, and navicli.
- Experience with Brocade Silkworm 3900 and 12000 switch configuration,management, and Fabric Manager.
- Knowledge of EMC Control Center (ECC), Workload Analyzer, and StorageScope.
- Experience administrating HP XP512 with CommandView. Knowledge of HP OVSAM.
- Deploy redundant systems, policies, and procedures for disaster recovery and archiving to ensure effective protection and integrity of stored data assets.
- Work with other business group team members to deploy storage solutions which meet business objectives.
- Adhere to service level agreements regarding storage allocations,limitations, and availability.
- Analyze storage equipment performance, collect information, and prepare reports.
- Monitor and troubleshoot SAN device status.
Experience: - Solid skills in Unix and Windows operating systems.
- 6+ years of System Administration experience encompassing Windows,Solaris, and Linux.
- 3+ years of experience with building and maintaining Storage Area Networks.
- Knowledge of the Microsoft, Solaris, and Linux platforms as it relates to mounting and managing LUN's and HBA configuration.
