Portfolio Mgmt Developer

Role:
Dedicated focus on the flagship Portfolio WebBench application to add further functionality into a well-established analytics application in the marketplace. Particular focus will be on adding new products support, client-requested and internal-requested extensions to keep a strong-hold on our competitive advantage with our flagship application.

Responsibilities:
  • Partner with internal Quantitative Analytics teams, Portfolio Sales teams and peer technologists in the design and development of requested functionality
  • Ensuring flexibility and usability of development works

    Technical Skills / Qualifications / Experience:
  • Solid mathematical and analytic skills
  • Solid software design skills (Object Oriented Design and Modeling, Database Design and Modeling, etc.)
  • Solid programming and software development skills, particularly in Java and J2EE
  • Solid experience with relational databases
  • Working knowledge of Tibco messaging and WebServices
  • Working knowledge of Services Oriented Architectures
  • Familiarity with financial products, the financial markets and trading
  • Strong inter-personal and communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Ability to articulate thoughts, visions, designs, approaches, and implementations in both written and verbal form
  • Minimum of 3 years of J2EE-based application development
  • experience in financial industry with a solid understanding of investment management, and single-stock and portfolio equity trading strongly preferred
