* Chief technical architect for the network* Responsible for the development of network systems and infrastructure within the parameters of the global IT strategy and standards, and contributes to the company*s objectives.* Identifies new technologies and manage the associated feasibility studies and analysis.* Manage network calls to helpdesk* Prioritize tasks for the day, delegate network staff to the calls, monitor network call resolution, aspiring towards 100% up-time of Local Network Services. Produce helpdesk statistic reports for IT Director, review performance and service levels.* Network security, disaster recover, backup, archival, and control procedures covering the operation of Network Systems and their use so that the continuity of the business Is protected from their malfunction and mis-operation.* Establishing, administer, and implement network policies and procedures.* Responsible for management of voice system including voice mail system.* Ensure full documentation of local infrastructure and network systems, this would include but not be limited to network policies and procedures, FAQs, network topology, IP schema, server documentation, cabling and facilities layouts, wiring closets, server room layouts.* Project Lead on all network, and infrastructure projects.* Provides all users and Network staff with the necessary training and technical support In the operation of existing and new systems.* Ensures that the New York site continually adheres to Worldwide IT standards and policies.*Manage 4 network staff members. Responsible for career development of staff by coaching, offering professional guidance, on-the-job training, and direction or recommendations for further off-site professional training. Conducting annual performance reviews of direct line reports.What you need:Technical Skills Required:* Advanced understanding of IP networks.* Advanced understanding of IP sub-netting and routing* Design and install, (complex) Active Directory infrastructure.* Design and manage Windows NT / 2000/ 2003, PC and Mac network.* Troubleshoot and repair Compaq network servers, print servers, workstations, HP printers, Nortel switches, Cisco routers, and other peripherals.* Understanding of VOIP and support of IP phone systems.* Configure and maintain DNS/DHCP Services running on Windows 2000.* Configure OSPF, IP, IPX and STP (Spanning Tree) on Cisco switches.* Configure and maintained Cisco layer 3 routing switches.Job Requirements:* BS or BA degree in computer science, business administration, or related field.* Certification of any of the following is a plus - CNE/MCSE/CCNA or Nortel* 3-5 years of Cisco or Nortel (Bay) equipment experience* 8 years of systems experience (Client/Server Netware/NT).
