We are seeking an experienced technical professional to work at one of our prominent clients sites as an Apple Support Technician .
This individual will provide desktop support in a mixed platform environment consisting of primarily Apple hardware and software and some Windows based hardware and software located throughout 4 buildings.
Responsibilities of this position include:
*Install, configure and maintain workstation software in a Mac & PC environment
*Install, configure and troubleshoot applications such as MS Office, FileMaker Pro, and Internet Explorer
* Desktop management and support
* Maintaining and disseminating passwords and user ids
* Hardware and software deployment and/or upgrades for both the Macintosh and Windows platforms
* Providing help-desk support to diagnose and fix end user problems
* Troubleshooting, diagnosis and repair of desktop hardware
* Coordination of warranty support
* Assisting in installing, configuring, and maintaining all software applications (Mac and PC) on computer network
* Assisting in project initiatives
* Maintaining records on computer networks, including hardware and software information for inventory control and upgrade purposes
* Producing daily IT environment status reports
* Assisting in installing, maintaining and upgrading client's network
Experience: * Minimum of 2-3 years experience with desktop hardware and software troubleshooting on Macintosh and PC, laptops and related peripherals in a corporate or educational environment. * Knowledge of client/server computing and connectivity * Strong Mac OS 9.x and Mac OS X Panther and Tiger troubleshooting skills * Strong XP and 2000 troubleshooting skills * Must also be knowledgeable in MS Office Suite, Filemaker Pro, Mac Mail and Outlook Express * A+ certification required *Apple Certified Desktop Technician (ACDT) required *Apple Certified Technical Coordinator (ACTC) a plus, but not required * Candidates must be customer oriented, self-motivated, ambitious and dedicated team players. * Professional verbal communication, customer service, organizational skills and professional manner required Position based at one of our prominent client sites in NassauCounty and requires a valid driver's license and daily access to a motor vehicle.
