Direct hire opportunity in NYC, NYJob DescriptionUnder the direction of the Development Team Manager, The PeopleSoft Developer will work within the Application Development Team and be primarily responsible for three (3) tracks of work: 1. New Functionality Releases: The PeopleSoft developer will be responsible for a subset of the development, customization and integration work for new PeopleSoft 8.X Modules and Functionality,2. Existing Functionality: The PeopleSoft developer will be responsible for the development across multiple environments, related to fixes/patches and upgrades to existing functionality. Responsibilities will also include code changes to existing interfaces and conversion programs related to any data fixes, functionality patches and upgrades. 3. Agency Rollout Support: In support of Rollout to City Agencies the PeopleSoft Developer may be required to create new or enhance existing conversion and interfaces programs to meet with Agency requirements. All tracks of work will include but are not limited to: technical analysis, technical design (technical specifications), development, unit testing, unbundling of code, customizations, and documenting code using PeopleSoft HCM 8.8, SP1 Tools 8.45 and Oracle 9.204 Platforms. Mainframe and COBOL knowledge/experiences are highly desirable as it is necessary to create interfaces between XXXXXXXXXCAPS and other systems. Qualification RequirementsA masters degree in computer science from an accredited college and three years of progressively more responsible, full-time, satisfactory experience using mainframe, mini- or micro-computer technology in computer applications programming, systems programming, computer systems development, data telecommunications, data base administration, or planning of data processing, at least 18 months of this experience must have been in an administrative, managerial or executive capacity in the areas of computer applications programming, systems programming, computer systems development, data telecommunications, data base administration, or planning of data processing or in the supervision of staff performing these duties; or 2. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and four years of experience as described in *1* above; or 3. A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent and six years of experience as described in *1* above; or 4. Education and experience equivalent to *1**2* or *3* above. However, all candidates must have at least a four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent and must possess at least three years of experience as described in *1* above, including the 18 months of administrative, managerial, executive or supervisory experience as described in *1* above. Essential SkillsCandidate will be a PeopleSoft Certified Developer (preferred), 5yrs experience on full PeopleSoft Implementations- with recent experience (prior 2yrs) using PeopleSoft HR or Benefits, 3 years developing app*s in a mainframe, excellent understanding of and experience with a systems development lifecycle methodology, experience working on an enterprise wide project, experience working within a matrix environment, excellent communication (oral and written), interpersonal, and organizational skills are required.
