*Candidates must respond with the Tekmark job number, 56322 in the subject line* Education Bachelors Degree Experience 10+ Description Experienced application database developer to own the complete database and Java services lifecycle for several applications for Investment Banking Deal Tracking and Controller applications. The job responsibly will include stored procedure writing, and database design and maintenance that will evolve an existing complex design. The candidate will also be coding business logic and services in Java and be asked to provide the database expertise for several application developers in the team (dispersed across several locations). The candidate will also interface with a core data team and provide effective communications and help to manage project dependencies between the teams. Skills Required . Solid experience in Sybase database development (SQL, stored procedure, triggers, performance considerations). . Experienced in data modeling and use of Erwin . Several years experience in Java programming with database and object oriented design . Unix or Linux shell scripting (ksh or perl) . Use of database productivity tools like Embarcadero DBArtisan . Maturity communication skills necessary to interface productively with internal clients and other IT teams. . Proven track record of delivering projects on time and utilizing good change management techniques . Strong analytical and technical skills with ability to analyze issues, assess technical risks, and recommend sound solutions in a timely manner . Ability to work both independently and as a key contributor in the cross-functional team environment that include multi-locational team members. . Minimum Bachlor Science or related education and six or more years of experience Skills Desired . .NET/C# . Knowledge in Web development . Experience with Savvion or other BPR workflow products .
