Application Architect (Sr Developer)
SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
. Responsible for the design and maintenance of the application architecture for Advanced Planning systems (APS) and related integrations. This will primarily consist of the Manugistics planning suite (vendor package) and AMP.
. Define and maintain the Core Model application design for APS within the overall Core Model architecture for Supply Chain and Finance.
. Develop the application architecture in a flexible manner to meet regional planning needs within the globally agreed Core Model structure.
. Coordinate closely with project teams to implement Core Model APS application with local/regional systems via standardized integrations.
. Work with implementation teams to ensure consistency of CM elements, determine where localizations are appropriate and facilitate knowledge transfer.
. Work with peer application architects on COE team to maintain integrations within Core Model application footprint and to other global applications.
. Consult with peers and management to ensure application development is consistent with technical architecture strategies and good project management practices.
. Develop and maintain technical specifications and design documents related to application architecture and standard integrations in compliance with SDLC/PMLC policies.
. Work with developers to ensure adherence to specifications and Core Model standards.
. Perform trouble-shooting of issues escalated from regional support or development teams.
. Collaborate with application and integration tool vendors to continuously improve on best practices and stay current with latest technology and functionality.
Requirements
3 years or more SQL programming and design (PL/SQL, SQL*PLUS, SQL*LOADER)
3 years or more working with JDA/Manugistics Supply and Demand (This is a plus, not a requirement)
Planning modules, experience with Master Planning a plus (install, setup, configuration, integration) (This is a plus, not a requirement)
Specific experience with Manugistics Version 7.x technology set-up and performance tuning (This is a plus, not a requirement)
3 years or more SQL programming and design (PL/SQL, SQL*PLUS, SQL*LOADER) This is a plus, not a requirement
2 years or more working with UNIX (AIX) Shell scripting
3 years or more client server application design and development experience
4-year degree preferred or equivalent.
