A dynamic and rapidly growing manufacturing company south of Albany is seeking a Software Applications Engineer. This is a newly created position due to growth. Responsibilities include: understanding, developing and deploying the software tools needed to meet current and future business needs; be involved with business process analyses and the creation of software tools that allow for expeditious business decisions; develop software tools that bridge data flow between dissimilar systems; participate in the reimplementation of Visual Enterprise; document the design and proper use of specific software tools; and various other duties as assigned. This reports to the IT Manager. This is a rapidly growing, midsized manufacturing company.
Experience: The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years or pertinent experience and have a strong understanding of manufacturing. Technical experience should include: .NET, Java, XML, Oracle 10g or 9i. Additionally, this position is an individual who is personable, able to work with a broad user base, must be self-motivated, able to manage simultaneous projects and be well organized.
