Enterprise Data Analyst in NEW YORK, NY

Contribute to the success of the organization by enabling the company to effectively develop enterprise data and systems. This includes the ongoing development, maintenance and administration of the Sales Logix System. Secondly, the development of new as well as maintenance of all reporting & dashboards via the three main enterprise systems -- Sales Logix, EAS and Stepwise Quoting System.

Nature and Scope of Responsibilities:
Enterprise Systems
Sales Logix(CRM/Sales)

o Daily administration and support of CRM Sales Logix System which consists of four sites: Atlanta, Chicago, LA, NY (Corporate Home). Administration consists of adding/retiring users, re-aligning territories and attending to security issues. Interface with field staff to resolve issues and answer questions in a timely manner. For remote sites support is coordinated through the IT coordinators.
o Enhancement of data quality via Sales Logix synchronization and other technologies including Sales Logix Administrator, Access & Excel.
o Interface and survey field to ensure the continued development of the Sales Logix Front End.
o Development of new CRM Sales Logix vendor either through written requirements passed onto vendor or in-house development.
o Teach new features of Sales Logix to field staff via web/video conference and/or in person meetings. Ongoing communication with field staff on any changes and updates to Sales Logix.
o Monthly import of Principal Financial Group data of existing book of business.
o Continued development/design of integration between internal systems such as Stepwise quoting system.
o Research any new technologies that might enhance the field’s Sales Logix experience and/or how they accomplish their work.
o Maintenance of Sales Logix including the implementation of new features as well as updates and upgrades.

Stepwise (Quoting System)

o Resource for backend database help to actuarial.
o Maintain reporting from quoting systems via MS-SQL Server Reporting Services.
o Discuss requirements and issues concerning Stepwise in weekly meetings.

EAS (Accounting System)

o Resource for backend database help to accounting.
o Development, maintenance and support of the rearrange process which enables Principal Financial Group to import data into EAS.
o Administration of EAS including user maintenance, security and system maintenance.
o Crystal Reports expert resource to the accounting department to provide assistance in development.


Report Writing & Business Intelligence

o Maintain current reporting of enterprise systems via Crystal Reports or MS-SQL Server Reporting Services.
o Develop new reporting as required by enterprise via Crystal Reports or MS-SQL Server Reporting Services.
o Develop, design & maintenance of reporting dashboards that integrate data from multiple systems
Experience: • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent business experience.
• Experience with relational databases, enterprise systems, report writing, and SQL database.
• Programming and problem solving skills.
• Knowledge of SDLC (system development life cycle).
• Proven ability to communicate with all levels of organization. Proven ability to communicate with executive level staff in non-technical terms.
• Insurance industry experience preferred.
• Technical Skills include:
o Relational database design/theory, MS-SQL Server/Oracle/Sybase, SQL, Excel, Access
o Proficiency in Crystal Reports, MS-SQL Reporting Services or like report writer
o Experience with any enterprise system (ERP, CRM, etc); Sales Logix preferred
o Programming/coding experience in Visual Basic, .Net, C#, T-SQL preferred
o Business intelligence/dashboard design software preferred
