The Release Manager will be responsible for building and maintaining source control configurations across multiple projects in Microsoft Team Foundation Server. The candidate must be familiar with good source control techniques and have in depth knowledge of both Microsoft Visual Source Safe and Team Foundation Server. The Release Manger should also have strong scripting skills that are required for build automation and management. The candidate will also be responsible for all inter-team communication during the build and release activities. The main goal of this position is to manage the build process through the production rollout phase. The ideal candidate must be process and detailed oriented with strong communication skills and have the ability to troubleshoot and identify technical issues.
The candidate must also have the ability to work with all necessary departments: Project Management, Development, Quality Assurance, and Operations. Strong interpersonal skills are a must.<br><br>
RESPONSIBILITIES:<br>
• Design and develop build and release tools to improve productivity<br>
• Maintain and manage all source control configurations<br>
• Manage the build cycles for releases<br>
• Act as liaison between QA, Development, Operations, and Project Management<br>
• Coordinate production delivery of development projects<br>
• Provide post-mortem on failed/backed-out changes<br><br>

Experience: • Experience working with scripting tools<br>
• Experience with change management process<br>
• Experience managing and maintaining Microsoft source control environments<br>

• Hands on experience with Microsoft Visual Source Safe<br>

• Familiar with MSI packaging and tools such as Wise Studio is a plus<br>
• Familiar with Software Development Lifecycle methodologies<br>
