The Walt Disney Internet Group (WDIG) and ABC Digital Media (DMG) are looking for a Technical Project Manager to join the ABC News team! Join a small, energetic, hard-working team in a leading role with growth opportunities throughout the Disney network.

The Technical Project Manager will receive, track, respond to, and route incoming change requests, project proposals, production problems, and questions from outside the group. The PC, through timely communication both with outside stakeholders and with principles inside the group, will build relationships and become a reliable point of contact on behalf of the ABC Digital Media group. Responsibilities:
Understand and build a working knowledge of all production systems supported by ABC Digital Media
Prioritize, track, and route incoming change requests and production problems and ensure resolution
Develop and execute a response plan for incoming requests
Work with internal team to assure appropriate resource planning for support and change requests
Communicate status of change requests and production problems to appropriate stakeholders through documentation and in-person meetings
Contribute to operational processes that streamline communication and support activities

You :
are both analytical and tactical in your approaches to solving problems
are comfortable managing multiple priorities from several groups at one time
can handle issues on your own but know when to escalate a matter or gain consensus from a range of stakeholders
can understand Web-based and other software systems at a working, conceptual level
are adept at translating technical information into language understood by non-technical stakeholders
understand how Technical Support, Customer Service, and Operations interrelate
are tenacious at following issues through to resolution
manage your time effectively

Nuts & Bolts:
4 year college degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
2 years of experience in Customer Service or Technical Support in a fast-paced, technical environment
1 year of experience in project management or as a project coordinator of technical projects
Working knowledge of Web-based and other systems architecture and infrastructure
Strong written and oral communication skills
Willingness and ability to learn new tasks outside your current range of skills

Extra Points:
Experience in a news media environment
Experience in contributing to, building, or implementing Customer Service or Technical Support processes
Any help desk or call center experience
Interest in finding new and more effective ways of doing your job
Interest in news and/or media in general and interest in helping shape its future
Actively engaged and interested in discovering new technologies
