Our client is a provider of Windows-based integrated litigation support software and they are seeking a strong Project Lead with extensive .Net (C#, ASP.Net) experience for their office located in Westchester County New York.
This person will be responsible for providing technical leadership on projects from concept to completion.
Responsibilities include gather and refine project requirements, design solutions architecture, oversee onsite and offshore teams through production support deliverables, identify and address technical challenges and guide a team of developers through construction and QA. Work will involve extensive hands-on writing and review of code with the development team, in addition to collaborating with business managers and engineers to build consensus around architectural solutions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
·Provide technical leadership on projects from concept to completion.
·Work on Production Support activities as required for enhancement and maintenance of existing products.
·Extensive coding in Microsoft .Net (C#, ASP.Net) in web based environment.
·Coordinate sign-off and validation of the deliverables and its standards.
·Work with the Project Manager and Technical Leads to verify work-plan estimates for deliverables and associated tasks.
·Provide input and assists with maintenance of the project budgets and schedules.
·Assist in the Identification of resources and skill sets required.
·Design and review high level architecture and design of solution components.
·Collaborate with business to define High Level and Detailed Requirements.
·Lead a team of developers, both onsite and offshore, through all phases of project life-cycle.
·Work closely with Project Managers, Business Stakeholders, QA and other team members to deliver successful projects.
·Monitor and report status of the project or functional area(s) to Project Manager.
·Participate in program level presentations; Contributes to communications and executive presentations on status & issues.
·Identify and address technology gaps.
·Present information on a technical subject in a concise and measured manner and to tailor communication to the needs of the target audience.
·Collaborate with other project leads to identify and manage project dependencies.
OTHER DUTIES
·The Project Lead will partner with the project leadership team to manage expectations and ensure collaboration between departments.
-Technical (Software Engineering) Management to coordinate the implementation details and ensure that ITs priorities and direction is aligned with the business.
-Software QA Management to define, create and staff a viable test approach for planning and execution.
Education:
·Bachelors degree in engineering or computer science or equivalent; Masters Degree a plus.
·Will consider other candidates with non-technical degrees based upon significant job experience.
Experience:
·6+yrs of applicable solution architecture and/or development experience.
·2+ years experience managing complex and challenging projects as Project/Technical Lead.
·3+ yrs of experience in Microsoft .Net (C#, ASP.Net).
Other Knowledge, Skills, Abilities or Certifications:
·Microsoft .Net (C#, ASP.Net), SQL Server, Oracle
·Extensive knowledge of industry-standard application architectures, design patterns and technology standards
·Experience in designing and development large scale architectures
·Experience in guiding team of people in projects from concept to completion
·Expertise in solutions development lifecycles, frameworks and methodologies
·General understanding of systems architecture (Cisco routers CSS, IPs, domains, firewall, storage) and how they all interact
·Experience with offshore development a plus
·MCSD Certification in .Net a plus
·Knowledge of .Net 3.x a plus
