Client is looking for one Programmer Analyst II to work in a SOA environment for a project. The Contractor will provide one resource to assist the client with developing standards for Graphical User Interface (GUI) development; for the analysis, technical design and development of GUIs for the project, and for leading a team of up to five programmers specifically designated to be GUI developers. This team will be comprised of programmers with J2EE experience, but with little or no formal GUI design and development training or experience. The individual will be responsible for developing and executing a plan to mentor and transfer GUI development knowledge to the team members. GUI standards and knowledge transfer plans must be reviewed and accepted by management. GUIs will be built leveraging a J2EE foundational application framework, and will integrate with other enterprise assets as component "Services" such as Enterprise Content/Document Management and Document Correspondence applications.
Experience: Mandatory
. 3 years minimum experience designing and developing Graphical User Interfaces in a J2EE application environment
Desirable Requirements:
. Demonstrated experience of "Web 2.0" design and development including Ajax, CSS, HTML, JavaScript, and prototyping tools such as Visio and Photoshop.
. Demonstrated experience prototyping and creating wireframes for small to large scale web sites.
. Demonstrated experience of Section 508 and WAI standards and how to apply them.
. Demonstrated experience in meeting ambitious deadlines and delivering high-quality work on schedule
. Demonstrated experience in independently leading a team responsible for designing and developing GUIs.
. Demonstrated experience in an agile development process with prototypes included in repeatable process
. Demonstrated experience working closely with business customers to develop user requirements
. Demonstrated experience as an Information Architect, Interactive Designer, or User Experience Designer.
. Demonstrated leadership skills, communication, analytical and problem solving skills.
