Job Description:
Responsible for planning, design, procurement, deployment and support of local and wide area network equipment.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Support the implementation of numerous network-based efforts
2. Participate in all aspects of network operational activities (after-hours, on-call responsibilities are included)
3. Requirements gathering, design, proposal of services, equipment ordering/procurement, equipment receiving/logistics, configuration, staging, functional testing, project scheduling, implementation, on-site functional validation, documentation, and support
4. Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
SCOPE
1. Responsible for successfully implementing key components within a project.
2. Responsible for using implementation practices that will drive the total cost of ownership down and improve the quality of the delivered solutions
3. Routinely interact with customers and attempt to strengthen the partnership between company IT and its customers
4. Participate in departmental/project related technical meetings and must be capable of multitasking across many diverse project activities
5. Responsible to help design Local and Wide Area Network facilities/solutions, produce project plans, and install routing and switching solutions through constant interface and interaction with members of the team
6. Work to ensure that cost-effective and efficient infrastructure environments are built to satisfy project requirements and business objectivesJob Qualifications:
? 6+ years of relevant project management and business analysis experience
? BA, EE, or Equivalent Cisco CCIE Certificate is a plus
? Familiarity with Cisco routers, switches, and wireless hardware, and VoIP Platforms
? Familiarity with Protocol Analysis Software, Network Terminal Servers, Real-Time Delivery Platforms, Wireless Delivery Platforms, CSU/DSU?s
? Cisco IOS and CiscoWorks router management software
? Management Suites (for the devices/products listed above)
? Router Protocols (RIP, IGRP, EIGRP, OSPF), Routed Protocols (IPX/SPX, TCP/IP, NetBIOS, NetBUI) and Network Management Protocols (SNMP I,II & III, RMON, RMON2)
