Our client in NY is looking for a contract Technical Project Manager.

The successful candidate will be a global member of a development team interacting with business analysts and end users from Equity, Fixed Income, Prime Brokerage, Securities, Lending and Wealth Management. The candidate will maintain a suite of applications providing document storage and retrieval services, document content capture, rules engine to evaluate documentation and non-documentation requirements, expiration and mailing services, reporting and other key business functions. GDS and DocPoint are vital suite of applications central to Firm?s risk assessment and control programs: AML, Client Identity, Credit Risk and Capital, Collateral Management & Tax. These suites of applications provide document storage and retrieval services, document content capture, rules engine to evaluate documentation and non-documentation requirements, expiration and mailing services, reporting and other key business functions.

Responsibilities:

1. Planning, managing, and executing critical technology initiatives
2. Leading acquisition due diligence and technology integration programs
3. Driving innovation and creative solutions to business challenges
4. Ensuring delivery of technology solutions on schedule and within quality goals
5. Appropriately leveraging resources to deliver solutions
6. Identifying and mentoring technology developers, in order to build/maintain a high performance team
7. Developing (and adhering to) project estimates and staffing plans
8. Adapting to and remaining effective in a changing environment

1. Knowledge of Java middleware, client-side C#, C++, ShadowDirect, PCLex/Yacc, Shell script and Sybase as
Database
2. Relational database design and development experience with focus on Sybase
3. Objective Oriented Programming and Service Oriented Architecture experience
4. Understanding of Design methodology and tools
5. Demonstrated ability to engage with business and technology leaders
6. Proven success leveraging technology to meet business objectives
7. Experience with scalable technology solutions that adjust to cyclical business patterns
