Job Description:
Responsible for planning, design, automation, and deployment of the desktop computing environment.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Expert support, maintenance, and troubleshooting knowledge of various operating systems, including Microsoft Windows and MAC.
2. Expert knowledge of Microsoft Exchange, Software Distribution (SMS), SMTP Messaging and Networking Protocols.
3. Extensive desktop automation experience.
4. Extensive troubleshooting experience.
5. Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
SCOPE
1. Determines the requirement for updates, support packs, and system configuration changes.
2. Interacts with management providing recommendations for improved service availability and management.
3. Provides advanced support and implements break-fix solutions to technical issues within the Enterprise PC, File/Print, Messaging and Client Infrastructure environments.
4. Responsible for the implementation of PC hardware standards, software roadmaps and quarterly PC image updates.
5. Knowledge of industry trends and direction.
6. Responsible for standards for production desktop environment.
Job Qualifications:
Work Experience:
Minimum 5 to 7 years in infrastructure systems group, with a Minimum of 2 years of systems development experience, preferably in large diverse server environments with high availability requirements.
Education:
College degree or equivalent work experience. CNE, CLP or industry certifications in the area of PC Management (ie: MS Windows, Citrix, SMS).
