For this key leadership role, we are looking for a seasoned Sr Project Manager professional who has deep understanding and experience in project management. CONSULTATIVE PARTNERSHIP:Work with dedicated lines of business managers and to fully understand the technology applications and develop effective and efficient solutions to meet the business needs. Build strong relationships with business units and leverage relationships to drive change. Maintains relationships with vendors and professional organizations. PROJECT MANAGEMENT:Responsible for running projects end-to-end Responsible for running large projects with off-shore components Responsible for project strategy, project planning, project implementation execution and control, this may include the implementation of technical aspects of business projects or technology driven projects Responsible for directing the more complex, high risk, large scope efforts and concurrently managing several projects Completes status reports and presents deliverables for project milestones to senior management, the Project Sponsor and the Project Change Control BoardSTAFF LEADERSHIP:Identifies people who can do the work required for the project and obtains commitment of their time from their resource managers Directs and monitors resources; ensures completion of schedules. Applies pressure on a regular basis for the project to move forward Provides input to managers for performance appraisals based upon project participants’ performance STRATEGIC PLANNING:Schedules and facilitates project meetings, publishes meeting minutes, tracks impact and issue documents Effectively communicates and develops a professional level of cooperation across the organization Initiates or participates in the request for proposal process, including vendor management Responsible for the overall coordination and management of scope, which would include BAU, discretionary, conversion or system release projects MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:Minimum of four years college with at least ten years experience in project related work, systems analysis and a systems development environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience Experience on large scope projects and with a complete understanding of a project life cycle methodology The Senior Project Manager needs to know how to work within the organization and understand the agendas and perspectives of others Ability to proficiently use project management, word processing and spreadsheet applications Excellent problem solving skills to assist in detecting potential issues and issue resolution Familiar with application software and hardware platforms Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to effectively present to the target audience Demonstrates diplomatic negotiating skills and excellent interpersonal skills Must be able to work effectively with clients, IT management and staff personnel Requires strong judgment and excellent project management skills Asserts ideas, encourages teamwork and acts as a role model when leading and directing others IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED: Masters Degree preferred Aware of the Bank’s business plan and strategic objectives Understanding of bank culture Good understanding of Bank’s enterprise architecture An understanding of multiple business area functions is preferred Understands the project purpose and employs the use of a work breakdown structure, critical paths and Gantt charts, as well as other tracking reports
