Location - Midtown NY
Duration - 6 Months
Rate - 38/Hr

This role is for 36 hours weekly and the duration is expected to be three months. Location of the role is NYC

Job Summary:
The candidate will be responsible for reviewing new or revised content of labeling as well as printed labeling for US Worldwide Pharmaceutical Operations (WPO) to ensure these components are accurate and comply with internal and external requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities Includes:
1. Provide editorial comment to Regulatory to comply with internal and external format and style guidelines.
2. Proactively initiates discussions with Regulatory Strategists to drive consistency within and across USPI?s.
3. Evaluates labeling updates, interprets information and ensures that changes have been applied consistently across product lines.
4. Performs editorial review of USPI content of labeling prior to submission to Pfizer artwork centers.
5. Proofreads editor?s copies for printed labeling against artwork generated by PGM artwork centers.
6. Monitors the proofreading workload and ensures Packaging and Labeling team meets timelines, and successfully negotiates due dates with customers when necessary.
7. Collaborates with team on regulatory requirements that cross multiple products.

Qualifications:
1. Bachelor?s degree or equivalent experience, plus 4-8 years experience with pharmaceutical labeling or medical/scientific documents.
2. Strong editing/proofreading skills, including broad vocabulary and knowledge of medical/scientific terminology.
3. Robust text comprehension and ability to identify and mark errors in typography, spelling, word usage, style, punctuation and grammar using Adobe Acrobat and MS Word.
4. Strong ability to use mechanized and e-proofreading tools such as vision systems, proofreading software and comparators.
5. Familiarity with pharmaceutical products, knowledge of regulatory requirements and trademark usage rules.
6. Individual must be flexible and capable of prioritizing projects, meeting deadlines and working well under pressure.
7. Good interpersonal, organization and communication skills.
8. Individual must be able to work effectively with frequent reading which may cause eye strain. 20/20 color vision (corrected) is required.
