Winforms webservices UI Developer with Investment Banking exp
C# GUI WINFORMS DEVELOPER
ROLE:
The individual will be asked to only perform GUI C# coding as well as participate and contribute in the architecture, design, and review of the existing, and new components for this project. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to participating in the architecture of the new framework, hands on front end coding, toolset evaluation, as well as working closely with the middle tier and backend team. The candidate should be a self-motivated candidate, who is capable of working in a fast paced challenging environment. The candidate must also demonstrate the ability to relay and express ideas in a technical forum with lead developers, and various team members. The ability to clearly communicate with business and systems analysts is required, as well as leading the effort to create these new components.
This position will report to the Lead GUI developer. The candidate must have had previous HANDS ON C# Winforms experience. This experience should include, coding, architecture, framework creation and testing. The candidate will work closely within the team to contribute to the coding, architecture, framework creation and testing of the new components.
Minimum experience includes:
* 5 years or more coding C# .Net, and or C++ .Net. (Visual Studio)
* 8 years or more actual programming experience.
* Experience in Object Oriented Design.
* 3 years of more with a windows messaging infrastructure (TIBCO, MQ, WCF, MSMQ, home grown).
* Strong multi-thread programming knowledge required.
* Good Oral and written technical communication skills, including the ability to document code, and produce technical documentation when required.
* Ability to interact with technical and non-technical teams when required.
* Ability to work on multiple projects.
* Acute attention to details, and the ability to provide feedback on technical specifications.
* Must be able to work independently and with other developers on projects when required.
* The ability to perform detailed developer unit testing.
* Participation in system design and architecture sessions in order to meet the business and systems requirements of the user community.
* Strong troubleshooting, decision making and problem solving skills strongly preferred
The following skill sets are deemed as pluses in the job category:
* Any Dev Express Grid Control experience.
* Real-time equities trading systems architecture experience.
* Experience in designing mission critical applications.
