One of SGA s financial services clients in NYC is seeking a Network Project Coordinator for an approximately 3 month contractor role. The team is building out an infrastructure to host a Cash and Repo trading system including all the related back office applications. The group will need to connect to most of the primary external exchanges (ECN marketplaces). As a member of the team, you will provide input on the design, configuration and testing of the network interfaces between various exchanges/ECNs and internal trading systems. You will need to deal with the corporate networking and security team to facilitate the opening of firewalls and design reviews with the security team. You will work with the infrastructure and project management team to assist with the coordination and administration/management of the build out activities.
Skills Required:

Good understanding of networking, routers, firewalls, TCP/IP, multicast.
Corporate firewall governance experience
Experience of working with Network vendors
Strong Unix and Windows knowledge and practical working experience
Good Project Management & Coordination Skills
High Energy for fast-paced environment
Self-motivated, enthusiastic and flexible team player. Good troubleshooting skills, logical thinker.
Strong documentation skills
Skills Desired:

Exposure to the financial services industry is a plus
Experience of stock exchange connectivity
Scripting language experience
