Your Albany Adecco is recruiting for a Network Support Specialist for a well-known company in the area. This is a temp to permanent opportunity for the right candidate.
Responsibilities Include:
• Provides PC desktop support to end users
• Installs, configures, and maintains computing devices (PC, laptop, PDA)
• Installs network printers and other peripherals
• Installs and updates application software
• Performs Active Directory user administration
• Creates voice mail accounts and performs basic telephone\voicemail administration
• Troubleshoots network connectivity, workstation hardware, application software, printer, and peripheral problems
• Performs server backup and restore tasks
• Maintains servers, workstations, and other peripherals
• Performs network, server, and application administration
• Monitors server logs, backup logs, server disk space
• Able to clearly and correctly express technical concepts (verbal & written)
Minimum Requirements:
• Minimum of an Associate's degree in a related area
• Minimum of three (3) years experience in the Information Technology field supporting help desk services, server administration, and network administration
• Practical experience installing, configuring, and maintaining Microsoft Windows server operating systems (2003 and higher)
• Proficient in supporting current versions of Microsoft Windows desktop operating systems (XP and higher)
• Proficient in supporting Microsoft Office applications (2003 and higher) and familiar with common business and productivity software
• Good knowledge of local area networks (TCP/IP, Ethernet, switches, routers)
• Strong troubleshooting skills
• Good interpersonal skills
• Able to clearly and correctly express technical concepts (verbal & written)
