Position Summary:
As an Architect/Senior Developer - Contractor, your primary responsibility will be to participate in the design and implementation of portions of the Fixed Income Security Master Product. In particular, you will be charged with architecting and implementing the SSIS packages responsible for processing third party feeds. You will also participate in developing the SSIS packages that map third party attributes to FISM attributes.
Essential Job Functions :
- Work closely with business analysts to understand how the third party feeds are mapped to the FISM fixed income attributes and ensure that all business side requirements are addressed and sufficiently documented
- Work with members of the Information Architects to ensure compliance with architecture policy and standards
- Translate functional requirements into a technical specification that accurately addresses business needs and allow for the implementation of a robust fixed income data model.
- Produce detailed, well formed technical documentation that will allow for the rapid implementation of the SSIS components by off shore staff.
Work with other architects that will be designing application components that will be loading into and extracting content from the Fixed Income Security Master database.
Experience: Minimum Position Requirement :
- BA or BS Degree in a Computer Science or Engineering.
- 5+ years experience designing and implementing ETL based systems
- Expert knowledge SQL Server Integration Services, .Net Framework (ADO.Net, web services) and C#
- Proven analytic and problem solving skills.
- Strong Verbal and Written Communication Skills.
- Excellent organizational skills, discipline and attention to detail.
- Minimum of 3 years Fixed Income Markets work experience with a background in one or more of the following: Securities, Corporate Actions, Analytics, trading.
- Ability to work within a team environment
