Generic Requirements
5+ years experience managing mission critical systems / software projects
5+ years experience gathering, documenting, and managing business and functional requirements
2+ years experience creating and executing quality assurance plans
Specific Requirements
Experience in planning and executing multiple projects using formal project methodology practices.
In-depth understanding of the global securities markets, with an emphasis on fixed income securities. Specific knowledge of current securities evaluation practices a plus.
Expertise in project estimation, requirements analysis, and quality assurance.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Responsibilities
Create and execute project plans and manage the change control process
Quickly identify and frame risks and issues and ensure their timely resolution or escalation.
Effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse stakeholders, with varied interests, and report progress / key issues to Project Stakeholders and Senior Management.
Act as a liaison among stakeholders in order to elicit, analyze, communicate and validate requirements (both Business and Functional) for changes to business processes, policies and systems.
Understand the business problems and opportunities in the context of the requirements and recommend solutions that enable the organization to achieve its goals.
Ability to map business processes and suggested solutions a must.
Coordinate local and remote resources within a matrixed organization.
Create and execute quality assurance plans.
Additional Responsibilities
Review key deliverables of other projects to ensure quality.
Contribute to the efforts of the PMO to promote and evangelize project management and requirements analysis best practices.
Technical Skills
MS Suite and Visio required
Some technical background (understanding what systems can and cant do) required
Other Factors
Bachelor's degree in financial discipline preferred.
PMI PMP certification, or equivalent, preferred.
Knowledge of SDLC and Agile methodologies, preferred
Familiarity with current industry regulatory and compliance trends is beneficial.
Understanding of control frameworks as they apply to project management a plus but not required
