Oracle/DB2 DBA
Mandatory Skills
1. Knowledge of Oracle Procedures, database links, tnsnames, RMAN, database design and Oracle configuration are a must.
2. Ability to work with application team to review & tune SQL and PL/SQL procedures
3. Strong AIX ksh scripting knowledge.
4. In-depth knowledge of z/OS internals, problem determination and resolution, and z/OS configurations.
5. Knowledge of DB2 utilities, Load, Reorg, Runstats, Copy and Recovery.
6. Experience with Explain plan, JCL, and ISPF.
7. Ability to automate repeatable processes 8. Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
9. Ability to plan and prioritize work and meet project deadlines
10. 10 years of DBA experience with one of the two DBMS systems (DB2 or Oracle) and 5 years with the other.
11. Production 24/7 coverage and weekend implementations are required. Will also need to participate in quarterly disaster recovery testing
12. Knowledge of Oracle Transparent Gateway, DB2 Connect would be a plus
