Project Leader in New York, NY

OVERVIEW:

Technical project lead of a technology team responsible for the design and development of a new trade management solution for many trading desks that trade credit derivatives products. The primary client is the rapidly growing and profitable structured credit derivatives business, which requires strong leaders and developers to address this business' challenging technology requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The candidate will be responsible for leading the design, development and global rollout the trade management platform across all credit derivatives applications. Additional responsibilities: liaison with traders, project planning, staffing of additional resources, and participating in the career development of the technology resources.


Experience:
Technical skills: The candidate must have at least 10 years experience, with at least 3 years in a technical leadership role. 10+ years in Java/J2EE, Unix and Sybase; C# and TIBCO EMS messaging a plus. Must have experience in a capital markets business (e.g. the financial industry). Experience with Structured Credit Derivatives trading, focusing on Synthetic CDOs preferred. Must possess strong concepts in software development methodology, with ability of applying them in a fast moving business environment. Experience with the CALYPSO platform, risk and pricing, a plus.



Non-Technical Skills: Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills. Ability to provide a strategic outlook with a strong focus on delivery.
