Basic Function:
As part of M&T's Central Technology division the Project Analyst III would participate in the gathering and analysis of information for defining functional requirements, functional designs, development and implementation of the final project. Service and support on projects within the Retail Sales & Service Automation area.
Responsibilities:
Assists the client in addressing problems/issues of any scope.  Analyzes information, determines feasible solutions and make recommendations.
Researches and evaluates alternative solutions and makes recommendations to fulfill business requirements.  Converts business requirements into functional specifications and functions designs.  Plays a key role and an individual contributor on projects.
May project manage small to medium scope efforts, direct junior resources and coordinate tasks.
Adheres to all current standards and procedures and ensures all efforts are properly documented.
Develops test plans and scripts; performs client testing for routine to complex processes to ensure proper system functioning.
Provides consultation services to clients, technicians and Bank departments on basic to intricate functions of supported mainframe or distributes applications. 
Maintains a thorough understanding of the business being supported and its functions, processes, operations and strategic direction.  Maintains a detailed functional understanding of the supported applications.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree or at least 5 years professional work experience in technology/systems analysis.
Proven analytical, project management, organization and time management skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to interact with personnel in various organizational positions.
Strong knowledge of personal computers, and the ability to proficiently use project management, word processing and spreadsheet applications.
Ideal Qualifications:
Good understanding of the Retail Branch and Telephone Banking Center business and operations.
Experience with automation of the sales process, including incentive, sales and relationship management programs and reporting. 
High aptitude for complex problem analysis and resolution. 
Understands development processes and technical concepts
Able to handle multiple tasks in support of various assignments.
