Basic Function:
As part of M&T's Central Technology Division the Team Leader would be responsible for overseeing the Database Administration and Intranet/Document Imaging platform team.
Responsibilities:
Consults with client management in the analysis of short and long-range business requirements and recommends innovations that anticipate the future impact of changing business requirements. Responsible for building a positive client relationship.
Responsible for monitoring the technology direction of the industry and vendor applications. Researches and initiates change to the status quo, when necessary. Responsible for vendor/product analysis and recommendations.
Organizes and controls the activities of the teams, assigns personnel to various projects and directs their activities. Ensures completion of schedules. Responsible for short and long term FTE planning. Coordinates activities with other managers.
Responsible for implementing technology consistent with division's standards and long range plans. Ensures adherence to all department and technology standards and procedures, including all documentation requirements.
Monitors project plans; may coordinate major project activities. Keeps abreast of activities outside the team that may impact the team or client environment.
Responsible for performance appraisals, promotion and salary recommendations, and terminations.
Basic Qualifications:
5 years experience in RDBMS and Application Platforms Support Management
Minimum of two to four years college with at least eleven years experience in management and a Systems Development environment
Minimum five years management experience
Excellent problem solving skills to assist in issue resolution
Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to effectively present to the target audience
Ideal Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline preferred
Ten years of Application development management experience
Good understanding of the Bank's application framework
