*Must possess 3+ years of VMWare experience with in-depth knowledge of VMWare Infrastructure 3.
*Install, configure, test, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot servers and other equipment as assigned; ensuring that user applications and connectivity are functional and meet business requirements.
*Manage and administer backup processes and systems to ensure data and system integrity for servers and other equipment as assigned.
*Accurately document all repairs, installs, moves, changes, and removals according to Company processes and procedures.
*Utilize Company's change management process and procedures for all work.
*Collaborate with network engineers and other vendors as necessary.
*Receive and respond to incoming calls, pages, helpdesk tickets, and/or e-mails regarding server problems.
*Must have extensive knowledge of Active Directory Management.
*Must have experience with Net Backup utilizing LTO drives.
*Must have working knowledge of McAfee.
*Candidate shall be able to work under general supervision with results being reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives.
*Working knowledge of Red Hat Linux and Windows operating systems.
*Perform diagnostic and network troubleshooting, hardware configuration, software installation and configuration
*Apply extensive subject matter technical expertise and knowledge of related disciplines to the successfully accomplishment of team projects.
*Working knowledge of network protocols including DHCP, DNS, LDAP, WINS, HTTP, HTTP/s, NTP, SMTP, and SNMP.
*Must be able to analyze networks and technology integration requirements across multiple agency applications.
*Outstanding verbal, written, and presentation skills is desired.
Educational Requirements:
*Bachelors in Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with 7+ years equivalent work experience.
*Certifications in A+, MCSE, and HP Warranty Certifications are a plus
