This position leads the design, implementation and ongoing operation of the company-wide electronic messaging system based on Microsoft’s Exchange platform. This will include the integration of collaboration tools and identity management.
This person will lead a group that performs all functions / responsibilities associated with the daily operations of Exchange 2007 including resolving performance issues, managing mail stores, SPAM and content filtering, e-mail archiving and instant messaging for approximately 10,000 users.
The incumbent will work closely with all IT and customer groups to deliver high quality, customer-focused solutions and support services that provide substantial value to the business. Establish reputation as subject matter expert in assigned technology area.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position is a key resource within the Enterprise Services team and requires a process oriented individual who possesses excellent people and project management skills while managing day-to-day issues. Specifically, this person:

• Will work closely with the various design and engineering departments within IT to ensure proper delivery of all messaging services
Experience: • Microsoft Exchange 2003 & 2007 certification or equivalent experience (5 years) in large enterprise environments.
• Ideal candidate can demonstrate expert knowledge and experience with MS Exchange architecture and server roles, Outlook, OWA, ActiveSync, mail routing/flow and message cleansing/content filtering.
• Experience with Postini SPAM filtering preferred.
• Experience with SQL including query writing and ad hoc reporting.
• Must have experience as an administrator, supporting a production environment and maintaining service levels.
• Experience with peripheral systems such as Blackberry, Fax, SMTP gateways
• Experience with enterprise directory technology, such as LDAP and Active Directory.
• Excellent working knowledge with relevant Microsoft solutions such as SharePoint, Live Office Communication Server and Unified Messaging.
• Must demonstrate 10+ years in increasingly complex management positions with at least three years leading a messaging team.
• Strong experience supporting enterprise-level Microsoft Exchange messaging environment including day-to-day problem analysis.
• Has strong customer relationship skills and willingness to lead customers through successful, challenging projects.
• Skill in motivating and inspiring others and adapting own leadership style to a variety of situations.
• Ability to plan, organize, and set priorities.
• Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills that can express ideas and facts in a clear and understandable manner, tailoring communication to the intended audience.


PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING:
• Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in computer science, engineering, telecommunications, or related technical discipline
• Significant experience developing and implementing an IT messaging solution for a large, diverse corporate environment
• Experience managing large-scale IT projects at increasing levels of responsibility and accomplishments in application development, technical services and operations
• Up-to-date knowledge of at least one major technology and platform gained by experience as a systems analyst/programmer or other IT experience
• Familiarity with various IT technologies and platforms, including servers, storage, databases, web, networks and firewalls.
• Demonstrated experience in work flow / process analysis.
• Demonstrated experience interacting with senior level management.
