This position is the point of contact between business and technical team members. The key responsibility is to ensure that the business data requirements are identified and adequately communicated to team members performing the design of all components of the architecture including reporting. This individual will also help identify data sources for the end-user.
Develop solid relationships through interviewing business end-users, utilize a strong working knowledge of the organizations systems and practices by analyzing business data requirements, and producing specifications for any new/changed data warehouse or reporting requirements. Includes providing a business or process perspective during design review as well as developing and documenting the business rules for transformation of data.
Work with the architecture and technical teams to ensure they understand the specifications.
Participate in a review of proposed data models and business meta data definitions to ensure conformance with business requirements.
Collaborate as a Subject Matter Expert with testing team to validate test scenarios.
Experience: JOB REQUIREMENTS
Associates degree, 2-3 years work experience in a similar function required. Primary degree in Computer Science/MIS/CIS preferred Secondary degree in Marketing/ Communications/ Business preferred Excellent time management skills Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strategic thinking/planning skills Ability to work effectively with minor supervision Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with daily work processing deadlines Prior experience in a fast-paced face-to-face customer service role working with daily deadlines and interruptions required Previous vendor relationship management experience (preferred) Demonstrated change management and change catalyst competencies Information technology knowledge and demonstrated system analysis and design skills. Broad knowledge of health insurance business applications and IT systems preferred.
