Our client is a consultancy firm which caters to the online needs of interactive agencies. They are the single largest interactive offshore production agency in the world. They have a solid 7 year record with top agencies across the globe.



The ideal candidate is a web addict, someone whos been part of ever major web technology event. This passionate candidate eats, breathes and sleeps the web and interactive work.



The candidate will partner with the Project Management lead in NYC to work closely with ad agencies to ensure that all project inputs received from the agencies are 100% clear and complete, and to ensure that the outputs developed, at every stage in the production process, are adhering to the agreed-upon specs. This includes:



· Reviewing specs

· Ensuring brief docs are technically complete

· Acting as lead technical facilitator between agency technical leads and their offshore development center

· Meeting with clients on a regular basis (from engineering leads to CTO)



The ideal candidate will be familiar with interactive agency deliverables (e.g., microsites, adver-gaming, etc.).



The technologies the candidate must be familiar with are as follows:

· Platforms: MS Windows family (2K, 2K3), Linux (Redhat, Fedora Core 5), etc

· Servers: IIS, Apache, Tomcat, JBOSS, etc

· Databases: MS SQL server, Oracle, MS Access, MySQL, etc

· Web Programming: ASP, ASP.NET/C#, Java/JSP/J2SE/J2EE, PHP, etc

· Multimedia & Game: Flash, Director, Flash communication server

· Wireless-related: SMS, WAP, i-Mode, JAVA (J2ME), etc



The position is not a hands-on coding role, however you must have strong demonstrated knowledge of technologies, such as their advantages and disadvantages. This includes the following:



1) Microsoft .NET technology:

.NET framework (1.1, 2.0), it composed of: ASP.NET and C#.

- purpose, advantages, disadvantages, etc

- its code structure (asp.net, C#), what kind of files which a website built with .NET have (.DLL, BIN, ASPX, ...)

- how to install a website in IIS 5.0 and 6.0



2) JAVA / JSP / Servlet:

- more consolidation in their definition, purposes

- advantages, disadvantages, best case of applications, etc



3) XML web service



4) PHP: its type of codes, purpose, best cases of application, advantages / disadvantages



5) Flash: some basic Actionscript, what new flash (MX...) can do



6) CMS:



7) Coding Framework: what is coding framework, how it applies (.net, java, php, etc)



8) DBMS: SQL scripts, what they can do? For what situations?
