Our client is looking for a Websphere Administrator to design, implement and manage our Websphere environment. The person will be part of a Websphere administrator team.
The person will be working in both Website and backend environments
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
·This individual will support and manage complex application systems on the Websphere platform.
·Experience in installation, configuration, deployment and management of Enterprise Applications in a clustered and non-clustered
environment using IBM WebSphere Application Server 4.0/5.x/6.x.
·Perform day-to-day operational duties including monitoring systems and processes on all systems under the Administrator responsibilities.
·Extensive experience in implementation of Workload Management (WLM) using cloning and clustering techniques including Horizontal and Vertical Scaling for failover and backup/recovery processes
·Experience in Performance tuning each environment and troubleshooting.
·Experience in
Installing Upgrade Fix Packs and Migrating
to latest versions.
·Experience in using Tivoli Performance Viewer, Log Analyzer.
·Familiar with WebSphere Portal Adminstration.
·Configured environments to an application's specific requirements such as JDBC, JMS, High Availability and Session Management.
·Familiarity with architecture of the modules according to the j2EE standards (Client tier, Web tier, Business tier and EIS tier).
·OS knowledge of Redhat Linux is necessary
Skills:
·Expertise Clustering, Performance tuning and trouble shooting of IBM WebSphere Application Server 5.1/6.x.
·Extensive experience in session management
·Excellent trouble shooting skills.
·Flexible scheduling.
·Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
·Ability to perform multiples tasks and meet project deadlines.
·Must be available for on-call rotation.
·Should have used Tivoli Performance Viewer and Resource Analyzer for performance and Log Analyzer for troubleshooting in production environments
·Proficiency in development of JACL, TCL scripts and shell scripts using WSAdmin, WSCP and XMLConfig tools to automate the WebSphere regular maintenance tasks.
Knowledge of Capacity Planning, High Availability and Systems Scalability solutions
-3 years experience in deployment
production support in a Websphere 5.x and 6.x
