Description:
The Sales Order Management Technology team is responsible for the design, development, and support of systems to manage orders for sales traders. We are building out our next generation system known as Stride. Stride will support order management for listed securities globally. The user base will be over 400 people spread throughout the US, Europe, and Asia. Key product lines will include shares and options as well as others. The system will support both electronic as well as manual order management. The development team has members in NY, London, Hong Kong, and Tokyo.
Position Description:
Design, develop, and support features within Stride. Write client-side code in C# to access data and update the UI. Our initial focus will be to implement features to support the European shares business. Shortly thereafter, we will add support for complex option strategy orders (e.g. delta neutral options, straddles, strangles, etc). Over time, we will decommission various existing order management systems. Job requires a focus on building a scalable, reliable, user-friendly order management GUI. There may be some work on the server side in Java
Experience: Technical Skill Requirements:
* 3+ years of C# or Java
* Swing or C# GUI development experience
* Experience writing n-tier apps requiring high volume and low latency
* Experience writing code in a multithreaded environment
* Remote object development experience a plus (e.g. Rendezvous, Corba, Ice, others)
* Object-oriented design and development experience a plus
* Relational database experience preferably Sybase a plus
* Perl or shell scripting experience a plus
* Strong communication skills as developers interact directly with users to get requirements and provide support
* Financial industry experience a plus
