BASIC FUNCTION:
As part of M&T's Lending Services division the Business & Planning Analyst II control and coordinate the Portfolio Transfer process the Re-Collection and Recovery including repurchases.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Control and coordinate the Portfolio Transfer process of incoming and outgoing acquisitions and repurchases
Includes working with various contacts within the bank and at other serving companies to coordinate the transition of reporting, system data, letters, files and financial balancing
Responsible for working with various attorney firms to reconcile billing discrepancies
Responsible for providing routine analytical, operational and/or technical support at the business/department level
Develop and produce standard and ad hoc departmental reports and spreadsheets to include but not limited to project or product strategy analysis, profitability, historical reporting, workflow analysis, statistical analysis and financial analysis
Participate in developing system/process enhancement plans
Develop a thorough understanding of the business and its functions, processes and operations
Keep abreast of business and market trends that may affect business department
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors degree in applicable field (Business, Finance, Statistics, Marketing) or the equivalent in work experience
Proficient in the use of spreadsheet, database, graphing, and presentation
Strong knowledge of Windows and PC software programs
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong analytical ability and creative problem solving skills
Ability to interact effectively with all levels of personnel
Ability to work independently and function as a member of a project team
Detail oriented
Strong data interpersonal skills
IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Real Estate industry experience
Real Estate Collection experience
Fidelity Service System experience including Passport
Project management experience
