Pre/Post Sales Consultant Total comp: to $130K (to $110K base + bonus) doe Software Application Management Solution firm seeks F/T Senior Pre/Post Sales Engineers for NYC based location. A Senior Sales Consultant works with the US sales team to provide support for the functional and technical aspects of the sales cycle, including: discovery sessions and requirements gathering; configuring, preparing, and demonstrating Company Software products; and providing additional support as needed to progress the sales cycle. PreSales Responsibilities: As a Senior Sales Consultant you will be responsible for providing presales technical / functional support to prospective clients and customers while ensuring customer satisfaction with minimal supervision. Acts as a technical resource for less experienced Sales Representatives. Develop and deliver high quality standard Company Software presentations and demonstrations. Present and articulate advanced product features and benefits, product future direction and overall Company Software solutions. Design, validate, and present Company software solutions to include advanced product concepts, future direction, and 3rd party complimentary products. Develop and manage reference sites through high quality technical, professional client relationships. The preferred candidate will have experience with developing applications and the system development life cycle in a project management, consulting, pre-sales or similar role. Post Sale/Implementation Responsibilities: The Implementation process involves managing implementation and provide on site and remote training for Company Software clients. Primary Responsibilities: Training - (30%) Provide remote training to clients. Provide on site training for clients as needed. Customize Education classes to fit customer needs Manage implementation - (40%) Manage multiple implementation projects simultaneously. Initial Project Planning - detailed planning with customer with regard to implementation, customization, and training. Manage product limitations and enhancements. Provide telephone support, implementation support and remote training to clients. Consulting/Customization -- (30%) Write custom reports Extending the product to support non-core technologies
Experience: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: · BA Degree or equivalent experience. · 5 years of either Development experience or software training required. · One year client service support experience. · Exceptional customer service skills. · Time management skills. · Professional presentation skills. · Ability to work with multiple projects at the same time. · Attention to detail. · Work with complex projects. · Demonstrated Project Management skills. · Advanced knowledge of relational DBMS, object oriented languages, programming skills. · Has shown proper motivation and work ethic evidenced by integrity, timeliness, and ownership of work. · Professional attitude and strong service orientation. Problem solving skills and the ability to handle/diffuse difficult situations and resolve issues. · Excellent written and verbal communication skills. · Demonstrated ability to meet critical deadlines. · Advanced technical knowledge and experience in Windows, computer networks, or databases (preferably SQL) required. · Excellent trouble-shooting skills. · Demonstrates confidence and expertise in dealing with all levels of client contact. · Successfully completed 'special" projects as assigned. Strong skills in the areas listed below: · Coding in Cobol, Java, C++ or .Net · Database development · SDLC Management · Ability to write advanced SQL queries DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience with complex databases. BA/BS Degree or higher Position involves approx 2 days a week travel with balance on-site at midtown NYC location
