Responsibilities:
Database development on a multi-year, strategic, global, risk reporting project.
Work closely with Fixed Income analytics teams to develop a data warehouse of consolidated positions and risks.
Interaction with risk management and global technology teams.
Candidate will be involved in quick iterative business deliverables and strategic initiatives such as:
optimization of existing data quality and reconciliation processes, product/account integration roadmap and integration of new technologies.
Monitor Daily Reconciliation process to ensure reliability
Investigate any discrepancies with data providers to resolution
Requirements:
Strong database design and development skills on UDB and/or Sybase.
Solid working knowledge of an object oriented language (Java or C#)
Perl/Shell scripting knowledge.
Proficiency in the Unix/Linux environment.
Knowledge/experience with OLAP technologies a major plus.
Knowledge of fixed income products and risk a plus.
Flexibility and ability to organize and handle multiple tasks.
Team player with positive attitude and a willingness to take on responsibility as part of a high profile development effort.
Proactive attitude and able to work independently to consistently meet objectives.
