The User Experience Architect (UEA) is an active participant in an Agile development process, working collaboratively with Product Management and the engineering team to envision, design, and usability test new applications and enhancements

Job Description
As a User Experience Architect, you are responsible for observing and interviewing users to determine usability and productivity requirements, facilitating client workshops to understand business goals, and proposing navigation models and high-level page designs. Additional responsibilities include: conducting formative usability tests to inform design and summative usability tests to measure progress; promote cross-product re-use and consistency through peer reviews and styleguide contributions, and introducing new methods and techniques for design and evaluation.

Minimum Job Requirements / Skills:

Graduate degree in Information
Design, Human Factors, Human-
Computer Interaction, Cognitive
Psychology, or related field, or
equivalent experiencewith a
Bachelors'Degree
Thorough knowledge of the relevant
research on user interaction design.
4 or more years employment
experience in user interaction
design and/or usability
testing, with at least 2 years of
web-application experience.
Mastery of user interface design
concepts, UI standards and web-
conventions
Experience with task analysis,
workshop facilitation, and usability
testing Facility with prototyping
tools (i.e., Visio) and picture
editors
Good knowledge of HTML, JavaScript,
and platform/browser constraints

Optional Skills:

Appreciation of AJAX and asp.net
capabilities; coding in these tools
a major plus
Experience with Morae/UserVue
software
Understanding formal development
processes; experience with Agile
development
Experimental design, basic
statistics, survey construction.

Soft Skills:

Superior oral and written
communication required – this is a
client-visible position.
Must be consummate collaborator/team
player, willing to go beyond role
definitions
Able to thrive on a fast-moving team
Must be able to multitask,
prioritize and think creatively
