Primary Purpose:
Provide market data support for New York trading floor infrastructure which comprises of various applications such as Reuters RMDS, Bloomberg, TT, ICE, Murex and other trading applications. Assist Senior Network Engineer in supporting remote offices:
Requirements:
• 5+ year’s professional experience with Linux (RedHat) and Solaris in an enterprise engineering/design/analysis/implementation/administration and troubleshooting role.
• Detailed understanding/expertise with building and maintaining high-quality monitoring infrastructure for Linux and Reuters (Hawk) infrastructure.
• 5+ years’s supporting Reuters RMDS and Bloomberg environments.
• 2 years minimum experience with Cisco router IOS and Catalyst switch software supporting WAN and LAN environment.
• 1 year minimum experience with Checkpoint Firewalls.
• 2+ years professional experience supporting Windows 2003 server infrastructure.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Design, install and maintain Market Data network infrastructure for New York office and Disaster Recovery Site.
• Support and maintain New York WAN infrastructure which covers Internet, Frame Relay and MPLS networks.
• Support and maintain New York LAN infrastructure which comprises of Cisco switches, Checkpoint Firewalls.
• Install and maintain network services at the New York Disaster Recovery Site.
• Work with London’s trading floor support team.
Accountability:
This position has a direct impact on the quality of service provided to the end user. It is measured by the success and completion of projects and support service calls. Indirectly it has an impact on the revenue produced by the New York and Americas offices.
