Drupal Programmer/Analyst in NEW YORK, NY

The position includes implementing industry best practices and staying up to date on emerging trends in order to implement these when appropriate. The incumbent will work hand in hand with application developers, Drupal CMS moderators and users to define and implement standards and processes in this area.<p>

&#149; A minimum of 3 years hands on analysis and programming and experience, out of which at-least 2 years with PHP, MySQL and web applications.<br>
&#149; Application development in all areas of Drupal CMS including developing modules, writing programs to integrate with third party API and managing outsourced development projects.<br>
&#149; Experience with Web 2.0 technologies, PHP and MySQL development.<br>
&#149; SQL, MySQL database administration, LDAP and project management desired.<br>
&#149; Completed, in progress, or willingness to pursue PHP and MySQL Certification.<br>
&#149; Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science preferred.<p>

Experience: The successful candidate will be responsible for all development and administration on the Drupal Content Management System. The primary responsibilities of the individual in this position are to co-ordinate the various processes in Drupal administration, development, support and implementation life cycle. The candidate will configure and customize Drupal Applications and Modules. The candidate is also responsible for the following:<p>

&#149; Managing upgrades to Drupal and related Modules.<br>
&#149; Developing upgrade paths for Drupal, database structure and third party and custom modules.<br>
&#149; Designing, writing, developing and implementing new applications for the Drupal platform.<br>
&#149; Reporting progress and activity to IT Manager and Drupal team on a continuing basis.<br>
&#149; Developing applications to integrate existing and new Internet technologies and services.<br>
&#149; Providing training and support to ComSoc staff and users for applications and services in Drupal.<p>
